I Hate Communism: Imagine

I hate communism. It is the gravest danger to mankind. It suppresses that which makes mankind achieve greatness - the human desire for personal achievement. Communism preaches that the self is meaningless and that the collective society is everything. And that everything should be done for society first, and for yourself second. But altruism is...

Because I can!

I made this blog entry using my Wii. Pretty cool.

Well, I am packing to move again. I won't go into the whole story, but I am currently in house #16 in this lifetime, and I am preparing to go to house #17, and then house #18. #17 will be a rental for 6-12 months while I do some serious business of letting life settle down, then I will be able to pick a proper #18 and get on with things.

What...

Well, my leave from school officially ends today as I begin COM 425 - Communications in Organizations. I have enjoyed the break from the weekly deadlines of school and used the spare time to work on other important things in life. My classes are on a five week cycle, and the leave that I took doesn't add up to an even five weeks, so I am now...

Here I am again. Another class done; Group Behavior in Organizations, and I am raising the white flag for the summer. I ended up with an 89 in this class, that with taking a zero on a rough draft because I didn't write one. The reason I am taking a break is because I realized I didn't give a shit about writing it. Essentially all I needed to...

In transferring my posts to the blog today I realized that an update is in order; and here it is...

I filed my grade appeal and supplied all required documents. The first person handling my case contacted the professor and presented the case and was met with a flat no. She apologized to me and escalated the appeal to her supervisor. He...

How the might do fall. It was at my last posting that I mentioned I had made the Dean's list. On my very next class it appears that all hell has broken loose.

I have been mostly absent from here lately due to some pressing affairs at home, and they were keeping me quite busy. During my MGT 330 Management of Organizations class I started to slip a...

Howdy Hypography!

I have been pretty busy, still. Work, home, school; life in all of its diverse glory has been keeping me away from these hallowed threads far too much, but having gotten a solid hour of sleep last night with another hour until I tuck in the kids tonight it seemed like a good time to stop in and give an update.

I have now...

I have been a rare sight in these parts lately. I am quite overwhelmed by life at the moment, but I feel compelled to take a few moments to post on this thread.

I have completed by first year of college. Seems like I just started, but a year has passed. Ten classes done and a GPA of 3.9; not bad for a guy who failed high school. So now I am...

Last night I was up until 3:45 AM completing the work for my ENG 122 class. That signals the end of class number nine. I now have 27 of 120 credits required for graduation, a whopping 22.5%! Today I begin my first science course, SCI 207 Dependence of Man on Nature. I am really happy to be past the English and Philosophy for a little while and get...

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.

When we launched in May 2000, we wanted to create a site to share science-related content of all kinds on the web. As time passed, our site turned into a pure science forum with lots of cool people.

So we kept the name Hypography and the cool science forum community - and aim to be a friendly place for discussion of science topics of all kinds.
