I really like this photo, though the black and white version is the one that first caught my eye. I'm curious about how you managed the two-tone color pattern on some of those squash. Did you shade half the fruit while it was growing, and if so, how?

i should have labled them as gourds. the pattern was inherited. i bought a packet of mixed seed, and after a couple years relaized each plant grew one type/style of gourd. the colors disappear when they have dried.
