As i said before, all of humanity is basically African in origin, your ideas are based in religion not reality, I am sure African contribution to civilization has been suppressed to some extent but your ideas are a blatant attempt to go the opposite way the truth must lie somewhere between the extremes of Europeans did everything and Africans did everything.

Aha! You mean the people of Malta did everything.:naughty:

What PAULMARCW was saying is that promient people in Western civilization have had African features. To say we originated in Africa is an entirely different statement. When modern humans migrated from Africa and populated the Near East and Europe, we have no certain knowldege of their skin color or lip or buttock size. But certainly, in the tens of thousands of years since if not before, they have acquired light skin and their present standard features.

The common representations of black Africans in Egyptian history is because the Nubians had adopted their civilization and become so powerful as to conquer Egypt at one time. The civilization became racially very tolerant. I suspect the same thing happened in Roman times. The mixing of the races in the Empire would have necessitate adopting a sense of tolerance or acceptance which we have gradually adopted and for the same reason.

However, all the examples shown are really "going overboard" as they say. Most of them are unconvincing. Paint changes color, ugly features do not mean African features and from the beginning of Christianity, it has been basically "the white-man's religion" even though it is a universal brotherhood faith and, because of that, has spread throughout every continent on Earth.

A universal brotherhood faith? You have to be kidding, Christianity spread because it destroyed any and all other religions and civilizations it encountered, made sure the people who worshiped other gods were converted by force or killed and their civilization destroyed and any and all writings or records of that religion were burned or other wise destroyed. It wasn't till after the "universal brotherhood" had pretty much wiped out all competition that secular government finally managed gelded Christianity so it could be a bit more of a brotherhood and not a raging nightmare. That raging nightmare still festers beneath the surface of the Christian religion to this day and it pops up from time to times as fundamentalism like YECs who want the right to indoctrinate every one else's children with this drivel and force it into our government. Universal brotherhood....

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.

When we launched in May 2000, we wanted to create a site to share science-related content of all kinds on the web. As time passed, our site turned into a pure science forum with lots of cool people.

So we kept the name Hypography and the cool science forum community - and aim to be a friendly place for discussion of science topics of all kinds.
