Thanks for the "Wow," Bud. You've wowed [sic] me more times than I can count. Obviously I don't pass rep around enough because it seems every time I try and rep one of your posts, I'm told I have to spread it around first. :irked:

Hey Modest I've bumped into some powerful intellects here and also some others with good sense and the imagination and understanding to see through others' eyes. Few display all those characteristics and you seem to be among them. I keep reading a scattering of posts that elicit "Yeah!" and when I look up it's the same few names, maybe five or seven, and yours is commonly one. Respect!

Bitte schön. :) Thanks for the inspiration. As an artist yourself, you know how we're always clambering for attention. :rotfl: The background for the kiter is mottled because of the paper I used; "newsprint" paper of the kind packers use to wrap articles before putting them into boxes. :gift: The figure is fountain-pen on the paper, then scanned, then applied some digital filters to color it. The clammer background I made by overlapping 2 stock background textures that came with my image software, then from a scan of the pen & paper character I selected/copied an inverted image with the 'magic-wand' tool (effectively this copies only the lines) and finally pasted this onto the background. Looks like I have found time for a new fixation. :kuku: :painting: :turtle:

Thank you for your post on What is "spacetime" really? You have yet again added to my understanding. I wish MM would read your posts as thoroughly as I do...

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.

When we launched in May 2000, we wanted to create a site to share science-related content of all kinds on the web. As time passed, our site turned into a pure science forum with lots of cool people.

So we kept the name Hypography and the cool science forum community - and aim to be a friendly place for discussion of science topics of all kinds.
