The roads are only about 6'-8' wide. On one side its straight up a few hundred feet to the top of the mountain. On the other side it drops of sometimes thousands of feet to the valley floor, but 90% of the time you can only see 20 or 30 feet for the dense under growth of the double canopy, much like a rain forest. The only way to turn around is to lock in the hubs and back up the mountain, so I did. As I backed up the side of the road cut, I noticed something move on the steep side dropping off to the valley floor, it looked like a huge brown log, but it took off and in three or four beats of its wings it was gone. It was huge and it was....scary! It was so large that I don't know how if flew through the dense trees and growth. So yes I believe you! ; {>

Well that sounds as if you are spiritual, there is hope for you yet my friend! ; }> I too have seen something similar. I was riding a jeep trail along a mountain top, my gas was nearly half out so I was looking for a place to turn around vowing to bring extra fuel next time. If you aren't from these parts I have to describe a logging road to you as per Appy trail roads.

Loved the Fractal Vibration clip. I used to have a sweet screen saver of progressive fractal images much like a kaleidoscope that had to be removed or little work was accomplished. Anyway, thanks.

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.

When we launched in May 2000, we wanted to create a site to share science-related content of all kinds on the web. As time passed, our site turned into a pure science forum with lots of cool people.

So we kept the name Hypography and the cool science forum community - and aim to be a friendly place for discussion of science topics of all kinds.
