The Bible, and reasons why not to allow kids to read it

How does the Bible picture God as horible, by what means? God created Man, God made one rule. Man disobayed, God punished man. God gives rules yes. But he always gives a warning too One thing you should consider is that Got can only expect perfection, nothing more nothing less. I sin, and thus I fail, and God would punish me (to show how he feals about sin). GOD IS A GOD OF JUDGMENT God is a God of justice, and the justice of sin is the judgment by death. There can only be perfection in Heaven. God is a God of grace GOD GIVES A WAY "For by grace are you saved threw faith, not of yourselves it is the Gift of God to salvation for everyone who believes." God has grace for those who deny him, and gives grace to those accept him. And the way to salvation is threw Jesus Christ, who had no sin, and died for the sinner, so that I might live. God gives A way out, and only one...if there where more than one, then there would be more than one. But that one way is only Gods way; Threw his Son Jesus Christ..and no other. Christ died while we where sinners. (Christ died for his enimies) God hates the sin, not the sinner, But if a sinner does not want to obey, and chooses to go his/her own, then s/he has to be punished. (I am sorry for the mis-spelling) -
I do not go on killing sprees, I am looking at the situation at hand, and what I would possably do. If I was your neighbor, I would be your neighbor. You would not have to waste your time worrying about me going on a "death to the neighbors" kinda atitude. When it comes to the Death Penalty, the Bible is not against it, in fact in Exodus I think it gives laws and some of the penalties of breaking them is death, and the Old Testament false prophets where stoned to death. I think you should get to know and understand the teaching of the Bible, and what it is trying to say before you criticize it. you Know that abortion is murder? Now I am not totaly against abortion, but I am by no means a suporter of it but only in certain situations, such as if birth would put the mother in danger of death. The Bible says "thou shalt not kill", That is part of the 10 commandments.. If you kill a person you broke it, regardless of what reason. This is very easy for me to understand, but very hard for me to explain.

"Thou shalt not kill" that meant do not kill. But the Bible also (to my understanding) says "there is a time to kill" one thing about justified war is the question "why?" Should you kill the guy that broke in the house and killed your wife? Thankfully?! revenge should not be a reason to kill another. I am not against the death penalty, I suport it. If somone was coming to you or your family to kill, then I say, sure..kill the guy, I would probably.

I won't say that you have a mistranslation of the Bible "They said my Bible was written wrongly and that much improved versions are available today. :hyper: " if they where refering to the King James version, I totaly do not agree with them, and that version is like the most acurate version in the English language, much better than most modern translations. I will get back to this interesting question later.

cells have digital programming in them much more complex than any computer.

science is a program, and programs have to be inteligently designed, not randomly put togeather by axcident.

There is only one absolute in this world, and that is there are absolutes every where you go.

I notice in spanish the words are backwords, so supose I decided to talk spanish style english " the boy baby fat is too much fat to be eating too much chicken big." I think you should switch the words around and englishize it toy our sakes.

I agree, the verse is 'telling' each person to be of the same mind, and not have divisions, but as people go, we have diffrent opinions about everything. but it's not saying that if everyone has not agreed on everything, that they are all false doctrines (meaning Christianity is no longer true) I go to a nondenominational Church, so we are a plain Bible believing Church. When it comes down to it, all Christians are joined togeather in one mind about the importance of Faith and Christ, and the judgment in not threw him.

being the exclusive church as in what? meaning that they believe their denomination being the only true church? There are those who think that, but when I stated that I didn't mean it in that way. I ment like many people who claim christianity, there are many denominations that that are false churches because they do not teach the Gospel. I agree, there are many disagreements between every denomination, but that doesnt mean that they arent true Christian, as long as they got the major issues in line with the Bible's teaching (which is what you mentioned) there is issues about baptizm, eternal security, daily repentence for salvation, predestination, head coverings, woman preachers, even 6 day creation and leteracy of the Bible. but I do not thimk these things make any of these Christian or un-Christian. It's all in your relationship with God.

I see exactly what you are saying, education is going down along side society. But I think it's the lack of God in society and the teaching of no absolutes that is doing the damage. I don't know what you mean by this. A moral nation is a strong nation, and the lack of teaching morals is disturbing, without teaching children that there is a moral God, teaching morals is pointless. and America is going down the toilet When you say taking the Bible literaly or unliterately what do you mean by that?

the Catholics believe that the wine and bread becomes the flesh and blood of Jesue when you eat and drink it. This is based on rituals and opinions, not based on the Bible's teaching. along with Mass, pugetory, confessing sin to a priest, praying to Mary and other saints, and etc. this is not taught in the Bible.

This is the Bible's Gospel. the only way to be saved is threw Jesus Christ, not good works. Salvation is by faith and not threw works, "there is no other way to the Father (God) but threw me (Jesus)". There is no other name under Heaven given among men by which you must be saved. You can live all your life being as good a person as you can. But without Jesus, it is all but a waste of time..all mans rightousness is as filthy rags to God. God is a perfect God and only expects perfection, Jesus was that perfection, and only him, and the only way to Heaven is threw believing on his name. Salvation is free, and everyone, bad or good is equaly capible of recieving it, no matter if you are a murderer or a hero, as long as you are still alive, you can be saved, but after that, it's done and you made your decision. The Catholics believe in purgatory, and that people can pray for the dead to get into Heaven, No where in the Bible does it suport that. I do believe that there are Christian Catholics, but at the same time, I believe many Catholics dont realy know the Gospel, but they are more so taught good works and rituals Such as Mass. Jahovah Witness I think believe in reincarnation, and dont teach the Gospel, they also have a fabricated Bible. I do not believe that all of the denominations out there are the Church. and many are false churches with no teaching of the Gospel. and without the Gospel, their religion is quite worthless.

I cannot see how a person can misinterpret the Bible in it's religion, it is so plain and clear, that one would have to be willingly misled by their unknowledgeable view of it's teaching.. now in OTHER topics and portions of scripture, it would have to be studies in depth, because I can see how one could misinterpret it, but at the same time (apart from it's gospel) if you study it, one can come to an understanding.. the Gospel SHOULD be easy to understand without any in depth study.
