Fatstep Posted February 14, 2007 Author Report Posted February 14, 2007 I'm saying, who discovered/invented cosine/sine/tangent Like in the 'Not so simple" link you posted it says this, "For a circle of unit radius the length of the chord subtended by the angle x was 2sin (x/2)," as part of the FIRST knownw trig fucntions, who said that angle x was 2sin. Who said what sin was and determined why it is used etc. I've read a lot about trig and calculus and have yet to come across how the three things above were calculated and by who.
