phoenixbyrd Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Hi, My name is phoenixbyrd. To put it in simple terms, I hate stupid ideas that are obviously stupid. Like magical water, or souls, or a law of observation that doesn't even exist. I can't stand people not bothering to learn about things they talk about such as quantum physics (in particular the observers effect), relativity, Heisenberg's uncertainty principle and a whole host of other topics. Let's get one thing straight, I can and do come off as an ***, someone with an attitude and/or a stick up my ***. Simple answer for that, I can't stand trying to explain to someone that they are wrong (such as eleventeen isn't a number) and then having them argue with me that I'm an idiot and don't know what I'm talking about. And finally, I can't stress this enough, go learn something. It doesn't hurt you nor harm anyone else. Before you even think of posting something, THINK before you post it, research it, learn about it, just assume your wrong from the start and see if you can prove yourself right. THAT is science, not some stupid so called thought experiment that is OBVIOUSLY wrong from the start. /end intro-rant And feel free to IM me anytime for real time arguments! Always fun AIM: zerolimit79xgmail: phoenixbyrd
Buffy Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I can and do come off as an ***, someone with an attitude and/or a stick up my ***. We know!It doesn't hurt you nor harm anyone else. Before you even think of posting something, THINK before you post it, research it, learn about it, just assume your wrong from the start and see if you can prove yourself right. It would be really nice if you followed your own advice! Including that signature quote of yours! And feel free to IM me anytime for real time arguments! Always funNot for the rest of us! Why do you bother? No, wait, don't answer that. I'm pretty sure I don't want to waste the energy reading your oh-so-superior-to-the-rest-of-humanity response... He's the boss,Buffy
Fatstep Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 We know!It would be really nice if you followed your own advice! Including that signature quote of yours! Not for the rest of us? Buffy Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 B!tch much? That speaks for itself...just wanted to save it for posterity.... Done dirt cheap, :DBuffy
InfiniteNow Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I have a high degree of confidence that Buffy's vocabulary is more robust than yours, Fatstep. If that's the best you've got, you might want to walk away now while you still have some ability to avoid being painted with the harsh brush of poignant accuracy. Always better for the goldfish to avoid pissing off the shark. :D
Fatstep Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Who said I was smarter than her? Why can't you be positive about something, for once? And you e-people really think I care about your e-hierarchy on here, I don't, science does not involve idiots who act like 3-year-olds.
Buffy Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Why can't you be positive about something, for once?Astonishingly, positive reactions are rarely inspired by curses! :DAnd you e-people really think I care about your e-hierarchy on here, I don't, science does not involve idiots who act like 3-year-olds.You do? I never really thought so. You'll find we can actually be quite nice as long as you act nice towards your fellow members. You'll find that beating up on idiots and 3-year olds does not bring you praise or positive Karma. You may wish to consider how others view your actions. We don't really have any influence over that: that's all up to you. Dogma is not legal tender,Buffy
Fatstep Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 And again, karma does not matter to me.That is just another way of labeling people, I am here for the sciences not to meet people who want to be my e-friend.
Nootropic Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 What they mean to so kindly tell you, in your own ignorance, is that you are making, how should I put this, a FOOL of yourself. I would also reccomend following advice about what age to act, it would be useful in the future. And what a lovely introduction! It was resplendent with the least egotism I've seen in YEARS! Such a humble mind, I must say. G'day. Chacmool 1
Fatstep Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Please xplain how her being negative i making me look like a fool. The onyl thing he does is complain about how people are idiots, they are.You all must be people he complains about, figures why you're so stuck-up.
Buffy Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 And again, karma does not matter to me....I am here for the sciences not to meet people who want to be my e-friend.Thank you for the clarification! :D Enjoy your stay! How's that workin' for ya,Buffy

Joshua, Ever heard the idiom, "Now isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?" You are consistent in your posting style, running around the forums calling people stupid as your main argumentative topic, and then say people complain too much and are stuck-up idiots... hmmm... :) -> To say something about someone else which is actually true of you yourself. You are the pot calling the kettle black when you point to another person and accuse that person of doing something that you are guilty of doing yourself. Example: "You are accusing me of being lazy? Ha! That's the pot calling the kettle black!" "The pot" (for cooking) and "the kettle" (for boiling water) sit on the stove over the fire and become black from the flames. Example: "I'm tired of you always wearing my clothing!" Answer: "Aren't you the pot calling the kettle black? You're wearing my pants right now!" The pot and the kettle are like old friends who have turned black with time; the pot only sees the blackness which is on the kettle; he doesn't see the black on himself. Example: "Here comes the guy who is always late for work." Answer: "Aren't you the pot calling the kettle black? You are usually the last person to show up!"
Tormod Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 What they mean to so kindly tell you, in your own ignorance, is that you are making, how should I put this, a FOOL of yourself. I think you put that very elegantly. Maybe a bit blunt, but to the point. :hihi: But Fatstep is right. We are a bunch of powermongers who like to throw bits and bytes around! Gives us such a feeling of, uhm, "meaning". :xparty:

Fatstep Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I think it's funny how seriously you people take your e-lives.
