freeztar Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 It's where real Hi Fidelity music still lives! I agree, only teasing. I've got about 100 LPs that my dad gave me and it's quite a collection: Stones, Beatles, Floyd, Steppenwolf, etc. Several years ago I found a JJ Cale record at a Goodwill for 50 cents. I bought it and used the audio card on my computer to capture the whole record. Later, I downloaded some MP3s from the same album and listened to them side by side. It's like night and day! And that's after I ran the record through my soundcard to get it digitally onto my hard drive! YouTube - The Beatles - I Am The Walrus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqOKvonLrH8 Quote
Moontanman Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 The FYC disc is flawless! And I got it for $.99, I am going back soon! I also got "I'm Only Human" disco single by "Human League" for $.99, I am stoked :hihi: Quote
Moontanman Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I need a new pre-amp badly, I have been looking at a ONKYO TX nr801, it would help me expand my stereo out into surround sound and be a good pre-amp for my vinyl but so far the best I've found a used on at was $400.00. May as well be $400,000,000! Quote

NEW Phono Preamp,Turntable Amplifier,Record Peamplifier - eBay (item 270336543767 end time Feb-03-09 20:08:00 PST) Hmmm...looking at the ONKYO now, I see it is more than just a preamp. It's a reciever with 7.1 capabilities as well. You could try and snipe this one on ebay. It's at about $42 with shipping right now. DFINITLYDISTRUBD Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 I would enjoy very much any of those tunskis minus the vocals:hihi: So the cultural chasm not that wide...counting voice there's roughly five equal parts.... I dislike only 1.....a mere 20% of the whole;) Quote
freeztar Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 I would enjoy very much any of those tunskis minus the vocals:hihi: I'm with you DD. I like heavy metal instrumentation, but I've never cared for the "I want to sound like a demon" vocals. :) And now for something completely different!
