Buffy Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Still on screaming? This is a nice--and classic--version: YouTube - B-52's Hero Worship http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hLI4nNxAv8 But as usual, the studio version is much, *much* screamier: If you don't own this album, well, you should! A lock of hair, a belt he wore, it's not enough, I want more, :phones:Buffy Quote

modest Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Screaming? Oh this has always been my fave for pure, raw screaming: YouTube - John Lennon - Well Well Well Nice. Song-for-song I'd say that trumps my 3 choices... but... as a genre, I'd probably say grunge trumps all others for pitch-perfect screaming. Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam... ohhh, there's a good example:YouTube - Pearl Jam - Alive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPIwsAW2Q0wSubtle as far as screaming goes. Good thinking with Bjork, Freezy. I hadn't heard a Bjork song in many moons. Very enjoyable. Shall we think of a new theme...? ~modest Quote

Tarantism Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Greetz Feeling kinda dreamy after a rain so Soundtrack for "Solaris" Explosions in the Sky Particle w/ Joe Satriani Live Hendrix - Electric Ladyland (entire cd) I saw Explosions in the Sky in Santa Cruz last year. I thought that they might be kind of boing live but the energy really translated wonderfully. I guess I should know better by now. :) Quote
enorbet2 Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Oh Man! I'm envious! I'd love to see "Explosions in the Sky" Live but the closest they're getting to here is Central Park Summer Stage in NY City. It's a beautiful place and will likely be a great gig but that will be one huge crowd. I fear I'd be lucky to get within binocular range knowing as little as I do about NYC. Here's hoping for DVD!
