I have heard that there is a gene that you can test for to see how rapidly you will progress from HIV positive to the AIDS virus.* Does anyone have any information on this test or its validity?

You might be better searching the web with "Google scholar" than asking that question here first up.

 

There may be 'genes' that influence how the drugs you take for HIV will affect you. There are many new pathology tests for this coming on line now.
