So I created an account a week or so ago and then went and forgot all about this thing pretty much, caught up in the reading of the philosophy threads such as the determinism and free will argument (which IMO is kind of perfunctory, at least beyond the hypothetical since even if determinism is the true answer, the causality chain of events that leads up to the predetermined endpoint must follow the rules of free will where you are still making choices in your life even if those choices are inevitable).

 

Sorry about that, I tend to go on tangents every once in a while, and by tangents I mean run on sentences. I didn't get around to making the introduction last time because suddenly I find myself employed instead of going to school, which is harder to ignore although easier to keep up with it would seem. Otherwise I might've ended up reading beyond the first 5 pages of those threads instead of flaking off and doing other things.

 

So I suppose you should be aware of that little fact: that I'm either in tunnel vision mode where I will put my full effort into something or I just flake off and fake it through until I find that I've lazed my way into a corner and thus must come to terms with my new state of being and sort of ride the wave.

 

In case you're curious, I was studying History, English and Film at university, trying to become a writer/director tour de force. I haven't given up on that dream, although now I seem to find myself a little bit less deluded and perhaps more grounded, although that may just be my perception at this time.

 

Anyways, enough of my life story. I suppose I'll stop short of spilling it all for now and just say see ya for now I guess. I just found out I could tie my gmail account to my mail application, so I'm going to try that...
