maikeru Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 This is the first time I've ever heard of a carnivorous cow: Indian Calf Makes Meal Out of Poultry - washingtonpost.com Maybe it just wants to see if chickens taste like grass... Quote
Boerseun Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Weird... That's the way BSE started, with bone meal being added to cattle feed. Now there's a lot of crazy cows and a few men left in England. But hey, can't really blame the calf. After all, it did taste like chicken... Quote
CraigD Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 I’m not too surprised by the story. I’ve personally seen both cows and horses catch and eat mice. Whether they do it for nutrition, to eliminate competition for food, or for some other reason, I’m uncertain. Quote
maikeru Posted March 13, 2007 Author Report Posted March 13, 2007 I still have many things to see in this world, it seems... Quote
pgrmdave Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 This is quite disturbing...I'm surprised that this didn't cause and digestive problems for the cow. Quote
ronthepon Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 What? How? How can a cow eat so much flesh? Oh, but wait. It's a calf, right? Milk drinker... it is possible that it could actually digest it's flesh feast some what better than the elder members of it's species... Hmmm... This sorta is an interesting read on the topic as well. Or perhaps the cow is actually a swamp monster. Quote
