LJP07 Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Is science a pawn of bad data? Science is a King of vast wealth and knowledge. Either way, Welcome to Hypography! Quote
Boerseun Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Actually, Science is neither a pawn, a king, a rook nor a queen. Science is, in fact, Data's *****. The theory can say what it wants, but if the theory don't fit the data, well, bye-bye theory! (And no, this isn't a Star Trek reference) Welcome to hypo, by the way! GAHD 1 Quote
LJP07 Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Science is everything that exists because the knowledge of it exists everywhere. Datas *****? Where did you get that from, can't quite work out the logic of it?:hihi: Quote
REASON Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Hello all. Is science a pawn of bad data? Hello dvdmax, The answer to your question is: No Science is not a pawn. Legitimate science is a method or a process that contains checks and balances. While scientific information can be distorted, abused, or misinterpreted, and may contain bad data, "a pawn of bad data" would not be an accurate statement of what science is. I'm curious. Why do you ask the question in that way? What is your perception of science? freeztar 1 Quote
