aballiett Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Hi! I'm Allan Balliett. I am a biodynamic farmer in West Virginia. I do a lot of research on growing food of maximum nutritional value. I found the Science Forums while doing web research on Terra Preta. I'm still doing research on Terra Preta, but I've come back now to share what I've found. Thanks, folks, for starting this forum and keeping it going! -Allan Quote

CraigD Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Welcome, Allan, to our electronic ranks. I grew up in southern WV – Bluefield, in Mercer Co. I’m a WVU and Concord alumnus. Still know a few agriculturalists there, and in Summer Co. These days, I’m a suburbanite with slightly less land than it takes to set up a regulation 9-wicket croquet course, despite being in a major mid-Atlantic ag state, Maryland. Short of someone with the keys to a particle accelerator or a gene sequencer, I can’t think of anybody who’s input would be more valued here at hypography than a real, practicing farmer. I look forward to your posts. Don’t mind the old Charlton Heston movie fans (unless you’re one yourself) – we’re a pretty wild and diverse crew here, but one of the friendliest to be found on the web. Michaelangelica 1 Quote
