gribbon Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Hi there...B) This was something that came out a while back, but I'm interested to know a bit more about it... A gene from a cousin of of wheat boosted domesticated wheats protein, Zinc and Iron content by 10-15%. The gene works by fast-tracking the the plant towards maturity, meaning that nutrients are transfered from the leaves to the grains much quicker than otherwise. Does anyone have any additional information that could be of interest?:eek2: Quote
