these are very recent news, actually, as i'm typing this, these news are 2 hours old.

Anyways, Apple has begun to ship their Xsan, a high performance, enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) file system. The unit is priced at $999 per client and per server.

Xsan is a 64-bit cluster file system for Mac OSX. The unit lets you share up to 16TB in size on a high-speed Fibre Channel network. An impressive 64 systems can read/write to the system simultaneously.
