just make shure you get identical ramsticks to fill all your slots. Ram can be picky about the other ram it's in bed with ("what? my 233 2GB stick won't work with my 2 200 512's?" :cup:) sadly these things happen.

gahd, these things happen a lot too... you wont beleive the amount of times that i have repaired pcs for people and while looking at things that can be improved on, and figuring out that they have 2 256 stics and the computer is only showing 256 megs of ram only to find out that one stick is a 200MHz and the other one is a 233. The most common reply when i tell people that is, "well, the guy from Geek Squad said that it was compattible with my system" how do you tell people that 99% of people that work for geek squad are idiots?

so ron, make sure that you upgrade to at least a gig of ram if you want to do some decent gaming and make sure that the ram is the correct type for your machine and of the same speed, make sure you get an Nvidia card, ATI is only good for gaming in the "Rediculously expensive for hard core gamers" (i think most AGP 8x cards will work, i very rarely see an agp graphics card not work, and that is not the case with pci cards)

(btw my credentials for this are: i have a gaming box and built plenty more, built every desktop in my house (5) and generaly work on computers, mostly laptop/desktop/proffessional workstation and server repair for some pretty big companies as a job, oh and have 3 machines around me that run 3 different oses, actually 4 as my mac is dual booted with gentoo, but its 2 different distributions of Linux.)
