Michaelangelica Posted April 27, 2007 Author Report Posted April 27, 2007 I am told that the guy who discovered it Goged it to see if it was in fact a new thing. He ended up with heaps of hits to Superman comics!!!!!!!!!! Is this shear nerdism or what? Quote
ronthepon Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 Heck yeah. The superman comic writers had probably thought of some random chemical word usage, and it happened to be found. Ofcourse, you'll have to make a little bit of effort to fit the name with the chemical, but the compound found has the composition as kyrptonite was said to be. However, it's a boring sort of powder; not the cool looking green glowy rock thing. ;) Quote
Janus Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 Superman need not worry. This new mineral is white, thus it must be "White Kryptonite", and white kryptonite only is deadly to plant life. Quote
