arkain101 Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 In short. Regardless of our interpratations, models and theories, they need to supply testible, falseafiable, predictions. They also should worth with equations and form other equations. So popular, I realise you have a philisophical insight on how to mentally illustrate and logically formulate the physics realm, but this and using concepts to actually work with for real world applications are very different as you will probably already know. What good comes about by your insights? My insights prove to suggest that although the universe sustains itself, it is the enigma of thought and consciousness that allows a universe to be claimed. Also, to describe how it is we reason, and what it is we need in order to have something that can be reasoned. With this is it is to say, your being has much importance, and is as physically existant as anything is. Quote
Moontanman Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 There is no such thing as time, just our arbitrary measurements of the expansion of the universe and the increase of entropy in the universe. Michael Quote

Michael Thanks for the addition to the thread. Although, this wouldnt be a first that I have read such a statement :hihi: If you have some reason in which to add to this that would be great. I find you have to state your position of catagory. Are you speaking from a life related perspective? or are you speaking from the catagory of physics? There are many relative interpratations of time, and it must be kept clearly stated in catagory and context otherwise these time discussions are vague and in my opinion practically useless in efficiently making constructive headway. Time cannot really exist, if it did how would it run at different rates everywhere? If time was real then different time rates would isolate each observer from any others. How could we see a galaxy so far away that it's time is millions of years behind us? If time is arbatrary it explains why time measurements are differnt everywhere you are in relation to mass and speed but you can still see the objects that time is being measured differently at. If time was real why do quantum theorys work as well for time going backwards as they do forwards? What we percieve as time is just the expansion of the universe and increase in entropy. Of course I have no idea of how to go about proving it so don't flame me to much for thinking. Michael Quote

Without an observer there is unreasonable matter with wave and particle like characteristics, the strangeness of quantum theory that you were brushing over. One would think, well how could it be possible that the universe exists within us? And seperate to each individual? Infact, relatively, it does, since there is no absolute, there can only be relative observation. We can not claim the universe is a place of itself, the only center, and place of formulated reason and certainty is in the mind to some degree I find. Anyhow, great response and I thank you. Will get in to it more later. Quote
