Queso Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Do you like sushi? I just learned to make it at home (for a LOT cheaper than sushi bars wanna charge me)and I'm really stoked about this new ability. Y tu? Quote
Guest chendoh Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 You do use ginger to cleanse the palet between different types of fish :phones: Quote
maikeru Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Ee, totemo oishii. (Yes, it's very delicious.) There's a bit of difference, though, between sushi (often without raw things) and sashimi (raw fish and other seafood). Beware! I like both, but sashimi needs to be prepared properly, so I often make and eat sushi more. Makizushi using cooked eel (unagi) is also heavenly. Quote
Mercedes Benzene Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 I love sushi!I sometimes eat it with friends on the weekends if we're out doing something. The only thing is that I don't like raw tuna or salmon, but eel is delicious! Quote
Fatstep Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 How about an option for it's good, but you rarely crave it... I don't think I'd say mmmm Quote
Buffy Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 At least once a week! Got to get that fish oil to bulk your good cholesterol! Mmmmmmmaguro,Buffy Quote

Guest chendoh Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Buffy, your epidermi is so soft and supple now, do you really need the extra Omega-3? Quote
InfiniteNow Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Buffy, your epidermi is so soft and supple now, do you really need the extra Omega-3? Okay, dude... seriously, you just gave ME the creeps. Might be time to get some non-internet socialization again... get your quota for the year. For those in the thread who dislike "tuna," try to remember that there are different types, qualities, and freshness. Although you may have had a negative experience with one, you won't necessarily experience the same with another. I once had a bluefin tuna that was caught the same morning and I still start salivating just at the thought of it... 3 years later! As often as I can. Once a week though, I'm not in THAT tax bracket... yet. :hyper: Quote
Buffy Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Once a week though, I'm not in THAT tax bracket... yet. :hyper:You suffer from working for a conglomerate: Its across the street from the office and its a business expense! You are all paying for my need to combat my family's congenital high cholesterol... :) He had such a bunch of weird friends staying there...painters, nudists, writers, weight lifters, ;)Buffy Quote

TheBigDog Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Okay, dude... seriously, you just gave ME the creeps. Might be time to get some non-internet socialization again... get your quota for the year.I got "the creeps" once. Nothing some penicillin and cortisone cream couldn't fix up. All Buffy has are cooties, and I got my shot for that years ago. As for Sushi, I love it. Like many people in the US when I say sushi, I am really talking about Maki rolls. Spider, Spicy Tuna, Philadelphia, Caterpillar, Eel, I love it all. I skip the California Rolls. They are too generic. Like kids food. I like my maki with flavor. Sea Urchin sucks. :phones: Bill pgrmdave 1 Quote
Monomer Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 I really like sushi. Once upon a time I didn't after trying someone's homemade sushi without soy sauce, but years later I tried it again with soy sauce and thought it was great. I usually eat it for lunch during the week because it's fairly cheap and healthy. There are so many places to buy sushi in Adelaide now. Quote
Queso Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 There's something about it... Whenever I sit down and eat some sushi,my day is blessed with good feelings. And so far, no one has voted that they don't like it.Cool! Quote

All Buffy has are cooties, and I got my shot for that years ago.I'll have to send my gay friend from Cleveland over to make a pass at you to see if you need a booster shot then! Even innoculated and separated by the Internet, cooties are totally gross!I skip the California Rolls. They are too generic. .... Sea Urchin sucks. That's because outside of California, California Rolls are usually made with fake crab which is *horrible*. If you ever get to a place that has real crab, try them out...Once upon a time I didn't after trying someone's homemade sushi without soy sauce, but years later I tried it again with soy sauce and thought it was great.Yikes! *Only* soy sauce? Sushi without wasabi is just raw fish! Sushi should clear your sinuses! And, Bill, if that Cali-roll is plain or the urchin is too intense, just put more wasabi on it and you'll survive! Me, I avoid the Octopus not because its gross, but because its just plain too rubbery unless you go to a *really* expensive sushi place where they know how to prepare it properly.... Miso my sushi,Buffy Quote
