gribbon Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 I have this brilliant idea, but I'm not sure that it will be allowed: can I take two photo's that I've taken and merge them together using imaging software to artificially create a scene showing severe pollution?:) Quote
TheBigDog Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 My understanding is that you can do that, but you should indicate that you did. Bill Quote
Tormod Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 Gribbon, you can do anything you want as long as it is still a work where photography is the main ingredient. Quote
Queso Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Is it cool that I posted my pictures on a webpage? They're too big to upload, and I thought it would work best all bunched together like that.Don't anyone forget about my hidden submissions please! Quote
Turtle Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 When I took my submission #1, Lechtenberg Climax Forest Whore, I was on assignment from Hypography Science Forums to conduct an environmental survey of Lechtenberg Forest. As I was breaking brush into the heart of the 1/4 section, a glint of lightness caught my eye. Larger and different colored than the few small flowers about, I broke through to where the item lay. Even then, it took me a few moment to realize what I was looking at. ;) As per my assignment to document any pollution in the park, I shot a few seconds of video. Other than a plastic water bottle near the 'artifact', I saw no other trash interior to the forest. Given the lowland marshy condition and proximity to Lacamas Creek, I presume both items floated in on high water. :) Chaos favors the prepared imagination. :) Quote
Jay-qu Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 orby if you go to your page and then right click on your image and click 'view image' - then grab that URL and wrap it in [img][/img] tags and post away :) Quote

If they're too big to upload - are they perhaps too big for the competition's size limits? If you need any help with that I'm as always happy to help out. :) Quote
Queso Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Who's the judge? Do you think they're too big?I think they're 800px max....?i Quote

Tormod Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Who's the judge? Do you think they're too big?I think they're 800px max....?i Pixelwise they look fine. They need to be less than 200Kb in file size (per image) too. Are you having problems uploading them as attachments? Or just use the IMG tag like explained above (that way they remain where they are but we can see them directly in your post). Quote
Cedars Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 I just went into my image area and I see the photos I submitted for a competition do not have a delete feature enabled. It also counts towards my image size total numbers, so I could max out the uploads and have no ability to remove contest entrys to free up room. How can this be fixed? Quote
