Last night I was meditating outside around 4am when I heard this insane sound coming from above me....

 

It was kind of scary. I thought they had landed.

It was kind of scary. I thought they had landed.

 

Owls can make some pretty loud noises. Some sound like screams.

Heres a list of some of the owl calls each makes.

Start with screech owl

Try the Great Horned if these dont apply.

Barred owls make some pretty weird noises too.

 

I dont know where you are located, so I cannot offer more regionally specific owls.

Barn Owl

Burrowing Owl * Rare around here, and I have no idea how common it is in Florida.

 

If you find a sound that is similar, you may want to google that owl again and look for additional pages carrying sounds, such as cornell. The SCREAM that the screech owl gives is not given true justice in the B - song listed with the Eastern Screech Owl.
