C1ay Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Do you have a doubt as to what you believe? Find what belief system best fits you with the Belief-O-Matic 100% Secular Humanist here.... Quote
Jay-qu Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 1. Unitarian Universalism (100%) apparently this is the 'not sure' group where they put everyone else that has diverse beliefs :) I got Secular Humanist as 99% which sounds much more likely. Quote
Buffy Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 1. Unitarian Universalism (100%) for me too. Never even thought of that. I usually put myself down as a Pagan (score: Neo-pagan (83%)), and despite having Secular Humanist thrown at me as an epithet for years, I'm only 92% there (prolly because I believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny)... I thought the questions didn't always leave an answer for "me" though... Faithlessly faithful,Buffy Quote

Mercedes Benzene Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 It said I was mostly liberal protestant. :( :) Quote
freeztar Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)2. Secular Humanism (96%)3. Liberal Quakers (95%)4. Neo-Pagan (93%)5. New Age (81%) With 36% Jainism...:) Quote
CraigD Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 1. Secular Humanism (100%) – no surprise there4. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (78%) – makes sense –my dad was a Methodist missionary 6. Neo-Pagan (72%) – a bit disappointingly low, as I have danced naked under the harvest moon, and committed even better ritual acts of pageantry :)9. New Age (63%) – unavoidable, I suppose :(13. Scientology (51%) – yikes! :eek:17. Bahá'í Faith (40%) – people are always telling me I act Bahá'í, though they can never explain why :) 18. Jainism (39%) – again disappointing, as I’ve a strict code against killing even the ickiest of bugs27. Roman Catholic (23%) – just plain silly – I can’t even genuflect properly! :( I love the Belief-O-Matic :hihi: Pity it doesn't rate for transhumanist beliefs. Quote
freeztar Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 I wonder how the Belief-O-Matic actually works? The answers themselves can be extrapolated pretty easily, but with the extra matrix of "priority", it is a more daunting task. I suppose I would start experimenting with different "mind sets" to achieve somewhat predictable results and record every answer and ultimate percentages. With enough trials, one could make some generalizations (of which guided the whole process anyway). But what about the "priority" factor? How does it skew the answers? I don't even know how to approach this mathematically. Quote

C1ay Posted May 22, 2007 Author Report Posted May 22, 2007 I thought the questions didn't always leave an answer for "me" though... Me too. The whole grouping together of "No God or supreme force. Or not sure. Or not important." as an answer for some of the questions kind of annoyed me.... Quote
TheFaithfulStone Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Secular Humanism - 100%, Mainline Protestant - 78% Interesting, as I do actually attend a church. tfs Quote
