Everyone who has entered photos can show them off in this thread. Once I have posted the photos to the gallery you can link to them for display. Use the "My Pics" section under the smilies when making your post. You can give us some deeper background and we can discuss the pictures.

That's a really cool water tower TBD! I bet it looks awesome at night! :singer:

So what's the story behind it?

It is very cool at night with the spotlights on it. I am not sure what the original story is. A friend of my wife was recently commissioned by the city to restore the artwork. They bumped into a problem when the found that the city has lost the original specs and picture records! What you see has been partially restored, but it is still up in the air about trying to return it to its original glory. It sits at the intersection of Interstate 90 and Route 528 in Madison.

As much as I like my number 21, I am not sure that it qualifies as "two different types of birds." It is a male and female of the same type, although I have forgotten what type that is other than "duck".

What do you guys think? I would use a different picture, but this is by far my best bird picture at the moment.

Hmmmmm.......Now where'd I put my glasses?!?.....Ah...Oh...There they are........Let's see,

Ahhh... #21....Ok.....

#21, speciffically states; Two or more different types of birds (same picture)

Well..........I guess you can't be any more different than male/female, and heck, It doesn't even require them to be alive!! :hihi:

I wouldn't shun it Bill, but I didn't make the rules. I guess you'll have to ask permission from yourself. ;)

Spectacular photo btw!

Yes, I agree.

I vote no; photo of ducks not allowed under the rules. ;) In many birds there is no difference of markings between genders so if I shoot a flock of birds of that type I wouldn't know for sure of the difference.

No hedging now. So, do I have to have a flightless bird and one that can fly to qualify as 'different types'? :) :hihi:

OK, I have switched to another bird photo, but I reserve the right to use the ducks in the any "excluded from the contest" photo contest. Here is the replacement. 3 birds, but not nearly the composition.

Here is my entry for #3 A Cat Sleeping Outside:

It's my cat Kitty and it's one of his "spots". He has many around the house and yard.

Here's my entry for #10 A Wild Animal:

It's a blue tongue lizard I found sitting by the tap out the back of my house one hot day when I arrived home from work. It ran along the wall away from me, and I thought perhaps it was thirsty, so I filled up a shallow container with water and it came back and had a drink and then raced off. Those lizards can really move fast!

Here's my entry for #39 A Bee in a Flower:

I planted these cosmos seedlings when I first moved into the house and they grew and flowered and attracted many bees. There's basically a constant hum in that area.

Playground equipment? I am not sure, but it felt like a playground! The company picnic was a blast today. I sunburned my head just so I can get a photo for the contest. I will be taking a picture tomorrow morning when it is really red!
