I don't give a **** if paris hilton is in jail or not.

Isn't there something more exciting, more ****** up, more NEW in the news than some dumb *** *****?

There must be something else happening.

Anyone heard any good news lately?

Please relay it here

I need it.

i work at safeway, as a food clerk. basically, i sit in the register all day and it suprises me how many people actually read the tabloids.

and then they ask me what i think of them. and i say i dont care.

for some reason i always thought that tabloids were kind of a novelty that nobody actually read or took seriously. apparenlty i was wrong.

people are just so bored with their suburban lifestyles that the have to live vicariously through other people.

this happens on a smaller level too. its mankinds obsession with other people that is the problem here. it kinda of makes me sick. thanks for posting this.

I agree Orbs..

Lets forget about the real problems in the world and focus on some celebrity tramp gossip Bullsh*t.

Celebrity Worship proves the dumbification of our society.

I would't worry tho'.. They don't incarcerate rich people for long.

Jail is for poor people.

Listen to the News Hour on PBS. Listen to the news specials on PBS. Listen to Charlie Rose on PBS. Listen to Now on PBS.

What can I say? Listen/watch PBS to see there is indeed a lot else happening. :turtle:

Yesterday, my fair city voted into law an ordinace to fight for those who could not fight for themselves. :turtle: :cup:

News 8 Austin | 24 Hour Local News | TOP STORIES

The Austin City Council unanimously passed an ordinance Thursday banning people from leaving dogs unattended on a chain, rope or other type of tether.

The ban requires pet owners to provide dogs with a minimum 150 square foot enclosure if the dog lives primarily outside.

<...>

The group Chain Free Austin had been trying for a year to get the ordinance passed. They believe tethering dogs makes them more aggressive and extended tethering is inhumane.

The group has raised money for a fund to help low-income families purchase fencing materials for their dogs.

Hopefully you are safe and enjoying your trip into the forest Orbsycli. While there are those who will point out that some negative actions occurred at home before/after this win, the center of the story is a tasty marshmallow. Here is a little nugget of smile for when you return.

Nation & World | Soccer title brings rare gift: Iraq unity | Seattle Times Newspaper

The players wore black armbands to remember the victims of a car bombing. The electricity went out, as usual, at the most exciting moments of the match. Baghdad was under a citywide curfew for fear of insurgent attacks on sports fans.

And all that was forgotten the instant the Iraqi national soccer team won its first Asian Cup championship Sunday in a fairytale 1-0 upset of heavily favored Saudi Arabia. As the Iraqi players wept and danced with joy on a soccer pitch in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, their countrymen rejoiced at perhaps the rarest of Iraqi experiences: a happy ending.

"This is a gift to the united Iraqi people, to the different spectrums of the Iraqi people," said midfielder Nashaat Akram as he stood drenched in sweat on the field in Jakarta.
