palmtreepathos Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Hello to All....Palmtreepathos a silly name from a vacation gone bad I am interested in earth sciences and the Bible. Especially as it relates to prophecies for example... One of many prophecies given by the Christ was massive earthquakes. what might be the cause of such? Global warming! the increase slated for the 20th century, bingo! right on time...also volcanoes burst forth from earthquake activity hmm... all that ash in the air, causing global cooling. Not sure if modern mankind should recieve all the credit for the global warming but the Bible does say God will "bring to ruin those ruining the earth" (Rev 11 vs 18) especially in regard to the abuse of earth's soil, with modern science and commercial interests at stake, it has been pushed along to horrific conditions! the interesting thing in here is the lay persons perspective enjoined by those with credentials in research who are not puppets of industry. So there is a freedom of thought that produces insights so that even the average joe can see into a world not usually taught about in the schools. My favorite interests at the moment are terra preta, (a mixture of the mundane things of a garden community with the potential to "save the planet!" who'd a thunk it? ) =-) making charcoal, soothes a pyromaniacs soul... (in a good way) and the intelligent use of water. I am learning every day how to love the planet and those who live on it... Quote
