Mercedes I really love your bonus circle in the parking!

Hahaa... that's the second time I've made myself laugh today.

I added that little detour for amusement and in order to "waste" extra distance so I could end at my neighbor's house.

So if you end at your neighbor's house, where do you start?

 

The maps say your elevation is max +16 from the start and min -10. Im not sure how correct it is because I know mine was def wrong..

Friend's house. A friend who is also running this "race" with my neighbor and I. :cocktail:

We're using it as a speed workout since we have to do summer XC training everyday anyway.

 

But yeah, I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I know that there are def some killer hill-things.

We'll see.

Jay-qu i just saw you don't live all to far away to where I went to school: Frankston...

Anyway you all put your gmaps (what I can't because it is in the forrest and not marked on the gmap, but since it is a vita-parcours the kilometers are marked, but if you want I can put the link of of the whereabouts) but unlest TBD no times? Do you want me to start so that you can feel proud because it is a very easy time to beat? As i said I'm no more trained so it is a bad time...

It's about 5k (about because where I start it reads 3km and it is a guess where the 5.5k is (only 5k and 6k are marked)) and there is in total 0 elevation but I guess it is about +/- 30m: 29'25''

Wow and we went all this time without realising ;) What school was it?

 

I think we wont worry to much about the elevation and its not really much of a competition so dont worry about times to much. We can just keep them here as part of a personal record and if we do more we can see who improves on thier time the most :) it would be a more fair system.

MT.Erin secondary college in Frankston south, I used to live ine Somerville and later in Crib point.

 

But I gues we should discuss this elsewhere. Your proposition about times is ok, but then it is no more a competition...

A "challenge" is usually not competitive. It basically means "you are challenged to something" - in this setting it would mean that everyone has been challenged to run a 5K and post their times. That is very different from a competiton. ;)

To me challenge and competition mean the same things, I would propose more something like "hypos' bests"

 

You see, by calling it that, Tormod, Jay-qu, and Mercedes Benzene would no longer be able to compete. :D

Ouch! I really needed you at the top of that 2nd hill Chacmool!

 

I completed this course in 23mins 19seconds. Not my best but also far from my worst :D it was much more hilly than I anticipated!

 

thats 1,399 seconds

avg speed 3.6m/s

energy required 1MJ

approx output 700W

approx 60g or carbs needed

very very approx 90L or carbon dioxide emmisions :D

 

I will try again and post my progessive improvements (I hope), I have around 4 months untill the triathlon season starts up again ;)

I'll run mine in a few days hopefully. It's kinda rainy right now... so I'm not sure I want to do it in the mud.

It's my school's home XC course, although it's a little different from what you see here since this image was taken before last year's addition was added on to my school.
