lamb.charlie Posted June 29, 2007 Author Report Posted June 29, 2007 Thanks guys! Sorry about the negitive words, I'm just frustrated at times because although I have new ideas I have seen no where else, I dont know termonology. Its difficult to describe an apple if you have never heard the terms "red" "round" or "juicy". Quote
New-ideas Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Whenever I think about this question, it really just gets me, I guess when it comes to issues like this, all we have is speculation? Quote

snoopy Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 To all, I think topography could give us the biggest insight here. If you can discover the shape of the visible universe, you could deduce if there are parts which are out of sight. One possibility I like is the funnel shaped universe or trumpet shaped universe. referenceBig Bang glow hints at funnel-shaped Universe - 15 April 2004 - New Scientist If the universe does have this shape, you could suggest our universe might have been born in a black hole (einstein rosen bridge solution) If this is also true it would suggest other universes out there but bounded off from our universe. referenceBlack Holes & Baby Universes (Hawking) This is neat as you can imply that our existance is not some divine inspired magic universe but just a huge probability with some universes not fit for carbon based life. So I'm betting that our universe is a small part of a larger whole floating in some huge energy field. The only problem left to explain is how this huge field of energy came to be in the first place and that seems to be that it always existed and always will exist. Cheers;) Quote
