addicted- Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I'm new to this site, mostly just looking around and having questions answerdbecause I'm only 13. I re-search alot about Astronomy and Crop circles though. I have been interested in it since I was almost 5, I want to be anAstronomer when I'm older. :) Quote
Buffy Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Hi Kaitlin! I like astronomy too because all you have to do is go outside and look up! How did you find us? Have fun!Buffy Quote
addicted- Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 I was searching though random astronomy pages off google and this came up,I read one of the astronomy forums and couldn't reply so I signed up :) Quote
CraigD Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 It’s great to see someone your age joining hypography. The Bourbaki said that you do the significant part of your original mathematical work by age 16, then spend the next 34 exploring it. Even if you don’t buy this claim, or aren’t aiming to be a theoretical mathematician, you’re at a significant age for math and science, and if my experiences at your age are an indication, in for some very fun years. addicted- Posted June 28, 2007 Author Report Posted June 28, 2007 haha yeah. I am really into math too haha Only thing is I havent learnt all that much and everytime I look at a question I dont know I just have to figure it out :hihi: I'm studying to be an astronomer but I always get to caught up in the subject and have to make it perfect then fall behind in class :( I hate how my marks judge everything because I'm really just too into it that I learn every detail and hand it in late. I'm working hard tho lol my Boyfriend Adam is making sure I get my stuff in on time and that I only show whats needed so hopefully in gr.9 I can get those marks up:) This is a good site for me though now I can get my mind loose outta books and school work and talk to people about it. I've been really into studying crop circles and how they relate to worm holes and such. Most common seen UFO's are seen to be coming out of a wormhole so they say. Who knows :) Quote
LJP07 Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 I would disregard any suggestion that UFO's apparently come from a proclaimed Star Trek "Wormhole", it's a complete Fallacy. Crop Circles are certainly a topic of debate however, I too would disregard this notion due to the perfection obtained by hoaxers. You may turn off Astronomy as a career at such a young age that you may not comprehend the depth of mathematical and theoretical knowledge required and the deep interest one requires when studying such a subject. Alternatively, due to the interest in Mathematics at such a young age, you may retain that interest hopefully and pursue the career you so wishfully require. Either way, Welcome to Hypography!
