A Cornell University researcher has said that infertile men may benefit from the cloning of the male genome.

 

Takumi Takeuchi, a professor at Weill Medical College, says that artificial replication of the male genome may help men with very low sperm counts become fathers.

 

While presenting the findings at the 23rd annual conference of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology on Tuesday, he said when the male partner in a couple has significantly low sperm count, doctors are often confronted with the challenge of retrieving a single viable sperm to inject into each egg...
