Turtle Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Charlie Rrose had Zahi Hawass and Catharine Roehrig, the curator of the metropolitan museum in NY on together this week to discuss the find & the upcoming special. the mummy was actually in the Cairo Museum in a storage room since the 1920's or so i believe Zahee said. He further elaborated that the tomb it was found in in the 20's was not its original tomb but was moved there by the Egyptians in the course of preparing other tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Hawass is, to put it mildly, abrasive and uncoperative with any who disagree with him on Egyptology and the camera work during the interview was great as they let Hawass talk while looking for reaction from Catherine. Charlie did a great job avoiding any slip that might set the old curmudgeon off.:) anyway, looking forward to the show in all three rings. :phones: PS here's the interview. >> Zahi Hawass - Charlie Rose Quote
