Fukudairafarm Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Hello to all my fellow terra preta and gardening enthusiasts! My name is Eric, I have been doing a lot of research into terra preta lately, and all the searches brought me here. I looked all around, and liked it so much I wanted to join! A bit about me- I live in a small city about 130Km north of Tokyo with my wife, two kids, and two goats. I love to garden, and I love to study as well. I commute to my school (I own an "English Conversation School" here in Japan) by bicycle every day. A 20 min downhill to the school, and a 40 min climb up the mountain in the dark at night. But the 13Km a day keeps some of the chocolate from my waist. Well, that is me in a nutshell. Eric Quote
Mercedes Benzene Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Welcome to Hypography!! I trust that all is well after the other day's quakes shook Japan?Enjoy your stay! Quote
Fukudairafarm Posted July 17, 2007 Author Report Posted July 17, 2007 Thanks for your concern. The big quake was quite a long way away in Niigata, we could feel it here though, but only the long waves. Quote
ughaibu Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Fukudairafarm: That's interesting. I live in Kanazawa, some friends here keep goats and one sheep in the bamboo groves. It was the idea of the eldest son, after he spent eight months living as a nomadic herder in Mongolia (2005-6). Quote
Micro-biology Scholar Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Both interesting orbits about eachothers wits. I fear though, I can not share the same experiences. Badly however, undermines my true thoughts. Find my work in the Biology forum, leave a comment or two- for the sake of empericism. Quote
