Hello to all my fellow terra preta and gardening enthusiasts!

My name is Eric, I have been doing a lot of research into terra preta lately, and all the searches brought me here. I looked all around, and liked it so much I wanted to join!

A bit about me- I live in a small city about 130Km north of Tokyo with my wife, two kids, and two goats. I love to garden, and I love to study as well.

I commute to my school (I own an "English Conversation School" here in Japan) by bicycle every day. A 20 min downhill to the school, and a 40 min climb up the mountain in the dark at night. But the 13Km a day keeps some of the chocolate from my waist.

Well, that is me in a nutshell.

Eric

Fukudairafarm: That's interesting. I live in Kanazawa, some friends here keep goats and one sheep in the bamboo groves. It was the idea of the eldest son, after he spent eight months living as a nomadic herder in Mongolia (2005-6).
