DougF Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 Those suits look pretty good, :shrug:I knew they were designing new ones but it looks like you could relay move around in these, I think they did fine job.:phones: Quote
InfiniteNow Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 I guess there will not be many more fat astronauts slipping by without anyone knowing. :phones: Quote
freeztar Posted July 18, 2007 Author Report Posted July 18, 2007 The bummer is that they say it will be another 10 years before it is ready. :phones: Does that seem weird to anyone else? They've been working on this thing for seven years now. So it take 17 years to design a spacesuit? Does anyone know what design criteria is needed for space travel? They mentioned that the suit would exert pressure to balance the vacuum of space, but they didn't go into any detail. Quote
Mercedes Benzene Posted July 18, 2007 Report Posted July 18, 2007 It doesn't look like it would be very safe... If they can make it work though, more power to them. I was just recently thinking about how awkward it must be to work in a spacesuit. Quote
max4236 Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 Whoa baby.. :bouquet: It's quite clever too, those lines of non-extension, makes sense. Quote
