freeztar Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 Check this out:G.E. Unveils Credit Card Aimed at Relieving Carbon Footprints - New York Times How do you feel about this? Is this an effective means of offsetting carbon footprints, or is it as the Rainforest Action Network executive said, "It’s ironic...G.E. supplies parts for coal-fired plants, so its credit card offsets emissions it helps create.”? Would you consider getting one of these?Have you seen any similar promotions? Quote
DougF Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 This is the first time I have see this type of sales pitch and I think that they will get a lot if people to buy into it, I think it would be a better idea to start projects around your house that reduce greenhouse gases instead of invest in some "offsetting ones carbon footprints scam".and I bet this is not last of "save the world buy this" that we see with global warming now in the news every scam artist out there will be looking for a Quick buck. Quote
