Victor_Wrath Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 My name is Victor Wrath People ask a lot of questions about a person in order to get to know them, and to make sumery judgments upon that person, but rarely do any of those questions actually have anything to do with who and what a person actually is. This probably has a lot to do with why people just can't understand each other. They are just not asking the right questions, and they fail to understand that the questions themselves are the answers. I consider mysef a philosopher above all else, though I am only self-educated in the matter. My lack of familiarity with clasic philosophy leads many to think less of me, and completely disregard my points of view. My problems with spelling and grammer usually cause the rest to gloss me over. Still, this does not conscern me greatly on a day to day basis, but is only occasionally annoying. I believe that faith, religion and spirituality is best served as a personal journey, not one of conquest or conversion. I empathise most with the pagans and their philosophies, however I am only very loosly pagan, and at the core I conflict with their base vallues. I believe that chaos is the nature of existance, the balance, order and perfection are only concepts, and ideas that will, in time, fail to meet the expectations of those who dreamed them up. I believe that all things are a part of all other things, and that much of what we know and understand of science is based upon arbitrary bounderies. I believe that in truth, all absolutes are false concepts, and all life is lived in the space between. From this I naturally do not believe in any supriem being or deity, no ultimate form of perfect reality, no heaven and no hell in the traditional sence. However, I am open to the possibility that there exist higher beings and non-linear existances that could be viewed as gods, and devils and places like heaven and hell, I simply do not believe in their permanance. I believe that everything is temporary, nothing is sacred, and chaos will reclaim all. However, I am not a pesemistic person as a result of these beliefs. I do not see that the fact there is no god, and no heaven has to mean that the universe is a bleak place, and that humanities future need be fearful and dark. In absence of destiny we are free to become anything, in absence of God we are free to become gods. I come here to explore my own philosophies, to share if asked, and to answer the questions that I have not yet been able to find in the path that lies within my heart. I do not yet know what I believe about the soul, whether or not it exists, and if it does can is trans-substantiate beyond the bounds of the body either durring life, or after it. These things I fear I will never be able to answer, at least not while my heart is still beating, but I hope to hear some interesting theories while I am here. Victor Wrath Quote

Racoon Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 Welcome aboard Victor !In Spanish its "Bienvendidos Victor_Wrath!" Your philosophy sounds Zen in structure. I'd encourage you to read the many great Cosmological articles posted here as well.. There seems to be a similarity between man being insignificant and temporal, and all that heavenly glory. Quote
