von Faulkenstein Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 I'm wondering if anyone knows the title of Mozart's music that Beethoven had locked away in his desk at the time of his death? It was the only music found there. Just curious.Thanks. Quote
InfiniteNow Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 I'm wondering if anyone knows the title of Mozart's music that Beethoven had locked away in his desk at the time of his death? It was the only music found there. Just curious.Thanks. I have found that the Heiligenstadt Testament and the "Immortal Beloved" letters were found in Beethoven's desk, as well as Oboe Concerto in F major among his papers (which it seems he wrote), but nothing on a work of music by Mozart. Can you give some insight on where you heard this to aid in the search on which work it may have been? Quote
von Faulkenstein Posted July 30, 2007 Author Report Posted July 30, 2007 I only know that several years ago, I read (some where?) that a Mozart work was found in Beethoven's locked desk--it really don't matter, just sort of interesting.Thanks. Quote
