I guess I'll start by saying, Hi.

I'm 16 years old, a mediocre high school student, and I'm usually known as Ben. I discovered this forum maybe 2 days ago because someone wasn't sure if flies had hearts and this I guess came up on Google or something. .. Despite this Biological encounter, I'm really not at all interested in Biology, well, I'll start from the beginning.

For most of my life I've loved Science, just anything about it was so interesting. I merely lurked around the subject until my first year of high school, I was sitting in the library wondering what to do, I looked at titles, nothing good. I then came across this dictionary filled with terms, formulas, definitions, et cetera, about Chemistry. I was addicted to say the least, every day I would just go back and continue at my place, reading through the entire thing, not knowing what half of it meant. I was hooked because every word I read made me feel.. Happy, strangely enough, it was so cool to me.

I eventually started to change interests, I went in phases I suppose. It first started in Chemistry, I then moved to Biology, Virology, Genetics, Mathematics, and here I am now, devoted to Physics. It started when I learned of Cryogenics, I don't know why but I was amazed and excited by it, but after time, it seemed too simple. I then found Quantum Physics, this was like the Titanic of the euphoria that I got from Science. I don't understand it at all but that might be why I love it so much, I.. Well I can't explain much more.

Anyway, this is the end of my Introduction, the conclusion, the part about what's wrong with everything. I'll begin the end with a few words; I'm very lost. Physics as a whole is amazing, but I don't know where to begin, I want to learn what everything means but it's all jibberish to me. I want to take classes but the way everything is going in high school, I only have an opportunity to take 2 genetics courses and a necessary marine biology course- these things mean nothing to me. I'd like to learn more of Physics independently but I can't get anywhere without a jump-start, so to speak. In other words, I need help and suggestions.

So there you have it, <insert title here>.

P.S. Sorry for my bad use of English, it's only my primary language.

Welcome to Hypography Kutan.

Starting out in anything is overwhelming, but if you've got access to the internet then perhaps do some google searches for topics you're interested in. For example, if you want to learn physics then search for a basic physics course and go through some tutorials:

The Physics Classroom

If there's some specific question you have then post it in the Science Projects and Homework Forum, and hopefully someone will be able to answer your question.

The internet is such a great resource, so make the most of it.

Enjoy your stay here.

Kutan,

The search is the fun part. If you ever stop searching for more, then your life has ended. With the exception of using the word "badly" instead of "poorly," regarding your language, I think you've done a great job. Whutta gr8 intordoocshun. ;)
