Mercedes Benzene Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 It's a tempt to move your cursor entirely out of the box. It will let you, but those damn blue Orbs will still collide with you out of the box!!! Not fair. Is it the blue ones? I thought it was the red ones that kill you? OH well. :hihi:My record is a wimpy 14000. It's hard to get that high! Quote
DougF Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 Gravity Pods, on level 35 now,I have to regen after two shots and reset everything? this only started after level 28 but still very cool playing with Gravity. PS at least it lets my retry my level and not make me start all over.:hihi: Quote

Typically, at the start of each level you get an additional handful of missiles, and they accumulate. Look to the lower left--the yellow dots. At the higher levels, it's almost impossible not to expend more missiles getting to a solution then you get when you go to the next level. Quote
Jay-qu Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 Ive made it to lvl 50, its a tricky one, each additional piece you add affects the previous ones ;) Quote
freeztar Posted August 23, 2007 Author Report Posted August 23, 2007 I'm impressed Jay! I gave up on level 40 after five failed attempts. I just don't see how it is possible. I can't even imagine level 50! :eek_big: Jay-qu 1 Quote
Jay-qu Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 50 looks much easier than 40 but is much harder :eek_big: post a screen shot of your attempts and Ill tell you if your approach is possible  Quote
freeztar Posted August 24, 2007 Author Report Posted August 24, 2007 Ok, here's the closest I've come. Quote
Jay-qu Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 your so close! its similar to what I did, but I used a repeller in the top right corner - all you need is to position that last attractor near the purple target thingo.. Quote

I tried that, but it throws off my other attractors... :shrug:I guess I just need to keep at it and fine tune the positions. I'll also try your idea for the repeller in the upper right hand corner, thanks. :eek_big: Quote
Jay-qu Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 The uni computers wont let my play Grav pods, so I gave Orb a go and managed 34k after I got the swing of it  Whats cool is just playing with the orbs, I managed to put the purple and blue ones into a stable orbit about the cursor :eek_big: Quote

I had a similar experience yesterday, and couldn't get the space bar to work. Some kind of buglet in GravPods, perhaps. Maybe closing all other windows before playing GravPods would help prevent that. hmmmm Quote

I'll also try your idea for the repeller in the upper right hand corner, thanks. :shrug:I think I solved this one in maybe 15 shots. My rule of thumb is, if you need to put the missile through a tight turn with the leg in and leg out reasonably straight lines, use a repellor. If you have lots of room to swing around, or need a curved turn, use an attractor. For #40, I used attractor at top left, repellor at top right, repellor at bottom right and an attractor essentially "in" the wall just before the last gate. This not only swung the missile around 90+ degrees, but kept bending its path enough after the gate to hit the target. I didn't need a terminal attractor at the target. Several days later, I tried #40 again, and for the life of me, I couldn't make it work!:doh: Quote
sanctus Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 It took me ages, but eventually I managed level 50 in grav pods. Actually twice the first time it worked it was my last bullet and instead of saying how cool I am it sait out of ammo. So I wanted to see what happens and tried again, managed even without using one anti-sun... ...back to work now. Quote

DougF Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Well it seems to be working today no problems.50 thats all, they should have 100. I'm no 50 now. Quote
