Drip Curl Magic Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 oi, I apologize, this post isnn't very scientific, And I know this isn't a tech support forum, But I have a problem with my lap top, and I need help. Last night while I was trying to burn a CD, the cd/dvd drive started making funny noises. After the burn failed, I tried putting a new blank disk in there, and it wouldn't read it. I also tried regular audio cd's, and it wouldn't read any of them. But the minute I put a dvd in the drive, it read it with no problem. So, the drive itself has the ability to read dvd's but nothing else. I'm wondering if this can be fixed with a re-install of the drivers for the drive, Or if I'm going to have to take it in to get it fixed? Has anyone else experienced similair problems? Quote
