The James Reserve is located in the San Jacinto Mountains of Southern California. One of its specialties is remote sensing of the environment. Cameras, microphones, automated sensors, and lots of other data is available from the web site.

Cool site! I was looking at the nest box cams. Took me a few minutes to figure out how it works, but I did find the archives and looked at past pics of nesting birds.
