yellow Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 How many people believe we actually set foot on the moon?Just wondering.
Queso Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 heh, I went into this a long time ago...did you run a search? you can probably find the old thread. I think there are a couple.
Queso Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 really old:http://hypography.com/forums/space/1472-moon-missions-faked.html?highlight=moon+landing+fake
yellow Posted September 20, 2007 Author Report Posted September 20, 2007 I looked through, I just wanted some fresh results, I guess.thank you, i'm still reading.
Queso Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 It's funny because there are evidence on both sides.I've no idea what to believe. I wasn't there. It's all stories to me, anyway.
Jay-qu Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 It's funny because there are evidence on both sides.I've no idea what to believe. I wasn't there. It's all stories to me, anyway.Maybe the google lunar xprize competition will provide some new evidence!
Queso Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Maybe the google lunar xprize competition will provide some new evidence! I'm well aware of this, and it has yet to occur. So when it does I'll be excited. :)
Queso Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 I think it's fishy that supposedly the USA was up there almost 40 years ago and yet...no one else has done it. I can't wait until there are other organizations exploring the moon. yay! The USA SUCKS when it comes to truth. I just never know with those guys . . :)
Buffy Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Well, this weekend go see "In the Shadow of the Moon" and see if it changes your mind. I just get mad because "disbelief" like this is such a slap in the face to people who worked so hard and contributed so much, and contributes *immensely* to those who fight against science for religious, political or pecuniary reasons. Its only a step or two above Holocaust denial in my book... George W. Bush is no excuse for calling Neil Armstrong a liar,Buffy freeztar 1
Queso Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 so wait, you think I slap you in the face when I say it just doesn't make sense to me?:)It makes sense to me both ways. I can't help but be skeptical with the things I've seen on both sides of the coin. :eek:George Bush has nothing to do with the apollo missions.'cept that he's head hancho of some big evil invisible meme that lies haha god it is so funny now because it's just so absurd la de da I love the moon missions! Whether they occured or not. People flew up outa Earth that's for sure. Marked a high spot on McKenna's timewave, too.Consciousness boomed back then. Spark, Sssssssssssss . .:) Things in the past are all a movie, pictures, text, words, vibrations, PATTERNS, anyway [fiction, non fiction, mystery, o :hihi::)
Queso Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 oh wait, not you, but Niel.Don't know the guy. I wouldn't slap him though, I'd just be like . .Ey man, did you really step foot on the moonpsychologically analyze his replythat's fantasticthink to myself about how it's a great story. Even my past memories are now stories. Even I've been to the moon! Something I'll NEVER get to do on this channel of existence.Dreaming kicks @$$ ;]

Its only a step or two above Holocaust denial in my book... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult. I just find the entire subject overwhelmingly fascinating. There is no way to ignore an interesting theory. The xprize and other conversations are what lead to this inquiry. I do not doubt our abilities to achieve incredible feats. Whether the landings were real or fake, is not really what I'm digging for. I was just wondering how many people have doubted the moon landings. How does the rest of the world feel about the accomplishment? How many are sure we did it and how many believe its a hoax. :)
Qfwfq Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 I always spend my Saturday evenings there, have ya never heard about how cool the girls are?

Hey Orb, did you really play that music that you uploaded here? Its hard for me to believe that someone that talks like you can play that good. Using Occam's razor, its more likely that you just recorded the guy down at the pub. I'm just askin',Buffy
Stargazer Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Yes, human beings landed on the Moon between 1969 and 1972. To say that there is no evidence other than "stories" is just baffling. The evidence is overwhelming, and no, there is no evidence for the landings being a hoax. Why do people claim to doubt the fact that the Apollo landings really did happen? To say so reveal a basic ignorance of the subject. And that ignorance is exactly what the Apollo hoax preachers live on. If people actually knew a little more, then they would know that the evidence for the Apollo landings to be real is there. It also helps, of course, to understand that one does not get to choose reality in which to believe based purely on personal preference. Oh, and the space shuttles exist, too. And Yuri Gagarin really did orbit the Earth. Surely people doubt that, too? After all, where is the evidence? And did the world really exist before I was born? It's all just stories to me. CraigD 1
Hill Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 How many people believe we actually set foot on the moon?Just wondering.I see posts like this and I have to wonder, but not about the moon landing. I'm probably one of the few posting here who has seen the whole space age. * I remember watching and reading the news about the launch of Sputnik 50 years ago today, and I remember going out in the evening and watching the satellite's booster winking across the sky in the twilight. (Sputnik itself was too small and dim to see with the unaided eye). I listened to the beep - beep - beep of Sputnik in my Dad's ham radio. The dawn of the space age was unimaginibly exciting to a scifi fan and budding scientist. I watched each launch as we tried and often failed to match the Soviet's achievment. Soon both the U. S. and the Soviets were launching bigger and better satellites with increasing success. The militarization of launch vehicles led to some very tense times and wondering if or when we'd be seeing nuclear mushrooms. (The danger is still there of course - much more terrible than then - but hardly anyone thinks of it these days). Manned launch vehicles sent people into space on increasingly complex missions. All were televised and they were on all of the networks and everyone watched. The moon landings were heavily televised and watched by over a billion people. The chance that the landings were faked is not even possible as far as I am concerned. These days with the ability to create all kinds of artificial imagery, it may seem possible - it is possible - to fake almost anything. I think our current abilities make it seem to some who never experienced the old technology that faking the landings might be possible. Nope, the technology did not exist, but the technology to get to the Moon and back did. cosmored Posted December 15, 2007 Report Posted December 15, 2007 There's lots of evidence that the moon missions were faked. Look at this. youtube.com/watch?v=n1UEv2PIzl4 At the 2 minute 35 second mark of the video the flag is still. When the astronaut goes past it, it starts to move. There's an analysis of it here at the 3 minute 5 second mark. youtube.com/watch?v=rC1legw5-gs
