I saw a leatherback swim 'neath my kayak.

the maui reef melting into the clear pacific waves.

the wind picked up, I could see my family on the shore.

White tip reef shark swam in the same direction right underneath me.

I was so scared that I even fell out of the kayak and cut my foot on the beautiful coral beneath me.

Supposedly mythusters says sharks don't give a damn about human blood . .

Hmph.

The intensity of the ocean.

happy is the tortuga that lives in the see. ...:)

... Now the whorl is in form like the whorl used on earth; and the description of it implied that there is one large hollow whorl which is quite scooped out, and into this is fitted another lesser one, and another, and another, and four others, making eight in all, like vessels which fit into one another; the whorls show their edges on the upper side, and on their lower side all together form one continuous whorl. This is pierced by the spindle, which is driven home through the centre of the eighth. The first and outermost whorl has the rim broadest, and the seven inner whorls are narrower, in the following proportions-- the sixth is next to the first in size, the fourth next to the sixth; then comes the eighth; the seventh is fifth, the fifth is sixth, the third is seventh, last and eighth comes the second. ...

While 8 in number and not 10, what Plato describes is a set of nested horns. Trumpets if you will, those bastard shapes of calculus with finite surface and infinite volume. And no less a delight than that the rims are then bells? Lo...the first is first and the last is second. ;) ;) :note: :)

So, so you think you can tell

Heaven from Hell,

Blue skys from pain.

Can you tell a green field

From a cold steel rail?

A smile from a veil?

Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade

Your heros for ghosts?

Hot ashes for trees?

Hot air for a cool breeze?

Cold comfort for change?

And did you exchange

A walk on part in the war

For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.

We're just two lost souls

Swimming in a fish bowl,

Year after year,

Running over the same old ground.

What have we found?

The same old fears.

Wish you were here.

Blues harps? Is this why the devil went down to Georgia?

The devil went down to Geo:earth:

He was lookin' for a soul to steal

He was in a bind

'Cause he was way behind

And he was willin' to make a deal

When he came upon this young man

Teeth'n a harmonica and playin' it hot

And the devil jumped

Up on a hickory stump

And said boy let me tell you what

I guess you didn't know it

but I'm a blues harp player too

And if you care to take a dare I'll make a bet with you

Now you play a pretty good diatonic, boy

But give the devil his due

I'll bet a blues harp of gold

Against your soul

'Cause I think I'm better than you

The boy said my name's Buddy

And it might be a sin

But I'll take your bet

And you're gonna regret

'Cause I'm the best there's ever been

Buddy draw up your harp and blow your harmonica hard

Cause hell's broke loose in Geo:earth: and the devil deals the cards

And if you win you get this shiny blues harp made of gold

But if you lose the devil gets your soul

The devil opened up his case

And he said I'll start this show

And fire flew from his teeth'n lips

As he heated up his blow

Then he drew and blew across ten horns

And it made an evil hiss

And a band of seven heads joined in

And it sounded something like this

:note: :Music: :)

When the devil finished

Buddy said well you're pretty good old son

Just sit right in that chair right there

And let me show you how it's done

He played Fire on the Mountain

Run boys, run

The devil's in the House of the Rising Sun

Chicken in a bread pan picken' out dough

Granny does your dog bite

No child, no

:note: :Music: :)

The devil bowed his head

Because he knew that he'd been beat

And he laid that golden blues harp

On the ground at Buddy's feet

Buddy said, Devil just come on back

If you ever wanna try again

I done told you once you son of a *****

I'm the best there's ever been

And he played Fire on the Mountain

Run boys, run

The devil's in the House of the Rising Sun

Chicken in a bread pan picken' out dough

Granny does your dog bite

No child, no

But Gilgamesh gathered the craftsmen of the city

to show them the wonderful Bull of Heaven he and Enkidu had killed and how it was made:

the great horns of lapis lazuli,

the coating on the horns two fingers thick.

He cut off the horns and filled the horns with oil,

six measures of oil, and then he offered the oil

in homage to his father, Lugalbanda:

he carried the horns to his chamber in the palace

and hung them in the chamber as a trophy.

Then Utnapishtim said to Gilgamesh:

"A secret of the gods I will disclose.

There is a plant that grows under the waters,

thorny to seize, as a rose is thorny to seize.

How-the-Old-Man-Once-Again-Becomes-a-Young-Man

is the name of the plant that grows under the waters.

Descend into the waters and seize the plant."

So it goes. :snowman:
