paigetheoracle Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Madeleine McCann's disappearance has sparked off new controversy as Ben Affleck has decided to shelve his directorial debut because his film resembles the real life case too much: 'Gone, Baby Gone' is about a kidnapped four year old girl who resembles the missing girl in appearance (both blonds, both about the same age, both with the same Christian name, even if spelled slightly different Madeleine/ Madeline and both with a Scottish surname McCann/ McCready). Does this show the world is a stranger place than we know or can know? (Arthur C. Clarke) or that we accidently tap into an unconscious substrata of reality sometimes or that these coincidences are not so bizarre or unusual and happen all the time? Quote
Buffy Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Never argue with Sir Arthur: you'll lose! Do you know how many TV and movie productions were canceled, delayed, and rewritten because of 9/11? Really makes Condi's "no one could have foreseen" comment pretty embarrassing... The maid did it,Buffy Quote
