amitayus Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Hello, I am interested in unusual plants -- both food and ornamental -- that can be grown in the Atlanta Georgia area. My wife and I have recently renovated an old warehouse for our home. We have about three acres of fields as our yard, plenty of water, but almost no shade. I am good at building things and plan a permanent greenhouse with glass and steel if anyone can help me find plans and specifications. I found this website following a search for Robert Irwin designs and would also appreciate any books or links. Especially like his rebar trellis with the bougainvilleas, but can't find overall pictures. I also wonder if the metal, being heated by the sun, would be harmful to the pants? B) Just finishing a trellis that will hold grape vines. I have a couple of Candice plants and am looking for more that will grow in our climate and be useful for wine as well as eating. We are semi-retired and have time and inclination for gardening.
