LJP07 Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 I don't really follow the whole Hybridization theory, I do understand parts of it but as a whole I find it a tad confusing. I refer to sp, sp2, sp3, sp3d, sp3d2 orbitals and the shape molecules form with sigma and pi bonds as a result of hybridization as well here. Does hybridization happen in every single chemical reaction or just some? How do you determine which reactions though? Any help on the topic as a whole would be greatly appreciated? Quote
