paigetheoracle Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 On a recent TV program, it was mentioned that the drug Zolpidem had been used to successfully wake up coma patients. Could it be that the pill is actually relaxing the people involved, allowing them to mend their broken parts, while they are unconscious and staying unconscious because they are fighting reality rather than going with it? (refusing to accept their condition at some level). It reminds me of the Dopamine Awakenings cases and sounds very similar to them, in my opinion but am I wrong about what this does to the body?(lay person asking a medical question from a psychological perspective) Quote
