Hello to you!

Would you care to share more about yourself? What are your interests in science?

Sure, I posted some info on my public profile.

I cannot post much until my account security is upgraded here.

My name is Charles F. Radley

Interested in solar power satellites, beaming power down from space.

I was listed in the recent Pentagon report, the security here does not allow me to post the link.

The link to my personal web log is on my personal profile, if you click there you will learn more.

My professional background includes B.S. Physics, M.S. Systems Engineering, 10+ years aerospace experience.

Was a part time technical consultant for Transorbital Corporation, the first private company licensed by the U.S. government to explore and land on the moon.

Was a member of the subcontractor teams for the Galileo and Magellan space probes, the International Space Station, Spacelab-MSL-1 and several communications satellite projects (e.g. Intelsat-6, Olympus).

I am an EIT Engineer in Training registered in the State of California

Publications:

Implementing software safety in the NASA environment

Software safety progress in NASA

In 1968 I read about Solar Power Satellites and said ... Yes, this is THE solution. In 1976 I read about Gerard O'Neill so in 1977 I read the High Frontier, and said, yes, finally a plan which makes sense. In the last 30 years I have not heard a better plan, so I am continuing to work on the original O'Neill vision. I joined the original L-5 Society in 1979.

Interests: Was a regional director of the National Space Society (NSS) from 1994-5 and

I operated an NSS BSS on fidonet from 1990 through 1992

I have been active in the following NSS Chapters: Ventura County (CA), Cuyahoga Valley Space

Society (OH), Oregon-L5; as well as active in the California Space Development Council and Midwest Space Development Corporation.

Development Council and Midwest Space Development Corporation.

I saw a post on this site from a user called Boerseun who was trying to build a rectenna.

I sent him/her a private message, I would like to get in touch with that person as I would also like to build a rectenna.

Thanks,

Howdy, cfrjlr, and welcome to Hypography.

Glad to see another NASA person here. I am also very interested in orbital solar power collection and microwave transmission. I've been working at the Johnson Space Center since 1980. Currently, I'm working safety analysis for the Constellation program.

Greetings, I am an ex-NASA contractor. At Houston, you might know Mike Ciancone and Roger Chrostowski, who probably remember me.

Nope. Can't say I've heard of them. But I could always look em up in the JSC directory. Currently, I'm a contractor, working for SAIC. Used to work for Dynacs Engineering, McDonnell Douglas & Singer-Link, in reverse chrono-order.
