ThisIsMyName Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Is it really possible to change the PH factor if you want to have a boy or a girl when you get pregnant, or is it merely luck of the draw? Quote
LJP07 Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Genetically, I don't believe any sperm favors a particular pH and because there are several hundred million regardless of pH effects, I'd still remain that it's luck of the draw. It's tricky to say because female sperm cells favor an acidic environment but boys favor a more alkaline environment, the acidity apparently kills the y-sperms leaving the X Sperms which are for Boys. I don't really know much about this but this is the theory. Apparently some women have naturally alkaline/acidic environment having trouble conceiving either sex. I'd believe that even if pH did affect the environment I believe that some Y-Sperm would get through this barrier and still have a likelihood of mingling in the fallopian tube, but like I said, I don't really know much about this or I'm not qualified to give an answer here.
