It has come to my attention that a number of our members are from the relatively small state of New Jersey:

While beccareb, zadojla, and myself are all very intertwined, I was wondering, does NJ earn the distinction of having the densest population of hypographers? If so, what is it about our lovely Garden State that is so special?

I'm sure there are other hypographers that would contend we are the densest.

I never thought of people from where I live as really being Jersey people, but I discover that I do have traits that betray me as a New Jersian.

I wish I knew more about South Jersey, even if they do root for the Flyers. It really is quite different, from what I hear.

Not from Jersey, but my dad lived in Long Branch for a few years, so still got a big kick out of this list, although I have to admit: like Becca, the most distinguishing thing to me about my friends from New Jersey is how *normal* they are, and how hard they are to pick out of a crowd. Having spent a bit of time in NYC though, I've definitely noticed this strange look that's a combo of consternation and discomfort when a Manhattanite slurs "BeeNTee"....
